About this policy

This policy explains how DeucePoint (deucepoint.in), a free badminton score tracker, handles information when you use the website and its guides.

Data saved on your device

DeucePoint keeps the following in your browser's local storage, on your own device:

• Matches you score: player or team names, the point-by-point score, format and times.
• Your settings: theme, last match setup and your analytics choice.

This data is not sent to us or to anyone else. It stays until you delete matches in the History tab or clear your browser's data for this site. Because it is only on your device, we can't see, recover or delete it for you.

Sharing, export and import

Score cards, WhatsApp messages and exported files are created on your device and only go where you choose to send them. When you import a file, it is read and checked on your device; it is not uploaded anywhere.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to count visits and understand which features are used, so we can improve DeucePoint. When you first visit, we ask whether we may use analytics cookies.

• If you tap Allow, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to recognise returning visits, and records pages viewed and actions such as starting a match, finishing a match, sharing a score card, exporting or importing data and changing the theme.
• If you tap No thanks, or haven't chosen yet, no analytics cookies are set. Google may still receive anonymous, cookieless signals (Google Consent Mode) that can't be used to recognise you.
• Recorded actions include only general details such as the match format, points per game or the number of matches exported. Player names are never sent.
• Like any website request, Google receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the service. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, and reports only approximate location (such as city or country).
• We don't use analytics data for advertising, and we don't combine it with other information about you.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of each guide page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Google's own use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Hosting

The website is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages securely and protect against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Children

DeucePoint can be used to score games for players of any age. Names you enter stay on your device. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your choices

• Decline or withdraw analytics consent with Cookie settings.
• Delete your matches from the History tab, or clear this site's data in your browser.
• Block Google Analytics on all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Changes to this policy

If we change how DeucePoint handles data, for example by adding accounts or advertising, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
